Release Intel Media Processor CE5300 Atom Berryville, 3D User Interface and Support for HyperThreading


Intel announced a new Media Processor CE5300 Atom Berryville named Media Processor. The processor is rumored to be made for set-top box and TV Smart media gateways.

Processor was previously named in Berryville and announced at the IPTV World Forum in London. The processor is intended to be the brains of set-top box in the Smart TV so hopefully will be able to deliver more content in Media Smart TV using this processor.

This processor works really well, supporting the user interface and 3D graphics cosole a good level to play the game. These processors are dual core processor with HyperThreading support and virtualization with advanced 3-D/2-D graphics engine, integrated power management, and has a B-picture hardware H.264 encoder.

The processor itself is the fourth generation of Intel SOC processor and a first-generation 32nm processors from Intel for market segments.
